Amber Heart from CHILLI Jewellery at the WOŚP Chicago Auction

For several years now, Polish designers have been creating heart-shaped jewelry for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity auction in Chicago. This time, I received this unique honor – my design was auctioned for USD 4,100.

My heart – according to the guidelines – had a simple form. I used amber with a deep, warm cherry color to resemble a heart not only in shape but also in color. I enclosed them in a delicate yellow gold frame to create an elegant contrast and further emphasize its three-dimensionality and depth.

Designing and making a heart for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is a great honor for me, for which I would like to thank John Fudala from Chicago. John is a well-known amber lover – valuable samples of amber from various parts of the world from his private collection include, among others: at the Earth Museum of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw and the Amber Inclusions Museum in Gdańsk. Thanks to him, the Amber Museum in Gdańsk can boast the largest lump of amber in the world – entered in the Guinness Book of Records. Now I guess no one is surprised that the heart had to be amber 😊 In this way, I joined the group of renowned creators who in previous years designed amber hearts for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Chicago. They are: Jolanta and Andrzej Kupniewski, Marcin Tymiński and Radek Szwed.

At the auction held on the air of the media patron of WOŚP Chicago – PolskiFM & Wietrzne Radio – the amber heart of this year’s Final reached an impressive amount of $4,100!
