“Baltic Amber – Heritage and Modernity” Exhibition in Venice
Receiving an invitation to participate in the “Baltic Amber – Heritage and Modernity” exhibition is an extraordinary honor for me – my works were featured alongside those of leading Polish and international creators.
This is a special exhibition showcasing the best of amber, presented in a unique place – in Venice as a side event to the Art Biennale, the most prestigious contemporary art exhibition in the world.
The exhibition consists of two parts. The educational section presented, among others, natural amber specimens and inclusions, examples of exclusive craftsmanship highlighting the link between the works of contemporary artists and the craft traditions dating back to the 16th/17th century, contemporary art objects, and innovative design executed by the best companies from the Tri-City area focusing on design. The artistic part of the exhibition consists of a selection of about 80 objects by renowned jewelry designers, design studios, and companies that focus their attention on Baltic amber.
After the premiere of the “Baltic Amber – Heritage and Modernity” exhibition in Venice, further editions are planned: in Gdańsk (July-October 2019) and Munich (March 2020).
